Sealed Bid Requests

LEGAL NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed bids will be received by the Jefferson Township Trustees at 335 E Erie Street, Jefferson, Ohio 44047 until 7pm on 8/5/25 at which time bids will be opened and publicly read for Spruce St resurfacing and Hickok Rd and Mill Creek Rd resurfacing in accordance with specifications on file in the Jefferson Township Garage. You may request the specifications or supplemental information by calling the Jefferson Township Garage at (440) 576-2430 or email jeffohtwp@gmail.com for directions on how to obtain these plans.

Each proposal shall contain the full name of each person or company submitting such proposal. Contractors or suppliers shall furnish MSDS sheets for any hazardous substance brought onto township property or a township job site. Each proposal must be in a sealed envelope and the outside properly marked “Spruce St/Hickok Rd/Mill Creek Rd.”

Pursuant to RC 153.54 and 153.571 (B), each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee, in the form of a bid bond, a certified check, a cashier’s check or a letter of credit. If a bid bond is used, the bond shall be in the full amount of the bid and signed by a power of attorney affirming said signature. If a certified check, cashier’s check or letter of credit is used, the instrument shall be drawn on a solvent bank in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. The bid guarantee shall be given as security that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will enter into a contract in conformity with the bid. Bids less than twenty-five thousand ($25,000.00) do not require a bid guarantee.

The “Hickok Rd and Mill Creek Rd resurfacing is partially funded with Ohio Public Works Commission funds.

The Board of Trustees reserves the right to waive any and all informalities and the right to reject any and all proposals.  7/8  7/22
